The front of store at Old Navy is doing a lot of things right at the same time. Summer. Fourth of July. World Cup starting tomorrow. One presentation covering all three without feeling forced or cluttered.
Shorts. Tanks. Lounge pants. Sweatshirts. A crossbody soccer bag. A couple of soccer kits. The whole family represented. And 30% off across the board.
The center platform is where it comes together. The whole family dressed head to toe in the same color story. That is not an accident. That is a space planning and visual merchandising decision about what the customer should feel the moment she walks in. You do not have to read a sign or find an associate. The platform tells you everything in one look.
That is how entry presentation is supposed to work.
A lot of retailers know summer is coming. Fewer actually build the front of the store around the specific cultural moment the customer is already living in. Old Navy did both. The World Cup. The Fourth. The season. All landing at the same time in the same place with the same family in frame.
The floor was ready before the moment arrived.
