Target is tapping into the national momentum around the Savannah Bananas.
The endcap is clean. Perfectly executed planogram. Strong header graphic. Every position filled.
Backpacks, gloves, bats, soft goods. Visually tight and on brand.
But inventory depth is minimal. And price points felt higher than expected for a kid driven purchase.
That raises the question.
Is this for the child who wants the product, or the parent who loves the Bananas?
Cultural phenomenon does not automatically equal mass conversion.
The execution is sharp. An opportunity exists. The test will be whether affinity translates at those price thresholds.
