Retail Review β 2025
Iβm starting a brief end-of-year series highlighting a handful of retail moments that really stayed with me in 2025. Not βrankingsβ β just places, ideas, and experiences that captured my attention and held it.
This one begins outside.
Anthropologieβs exterior was quick to grab my attention. The scale. The weathered brick. The oversized doors. And the way the setting sun washed across the entrance (shadow included) created a sense of warmth before I even walked inside.
Itβs a reminder that store design doesnβt start at the threshold. It starts on the approach. The exterior sets expectations, creates mood, and signals whether the experience will feel special or ordinary.
In this case, it absolutely elevated the moment.
(And yes⦠still one of my favorite photos from the year.)
More of these short reflections to come over the next few days. Each paired with the original piece I wrote about the store or idea.
